Voter information letters coming soon for the 2026 municipal election
Residents registered to vote in the 2026 Quinte West municipal election will soon receive a voter information letter (VIL) with instructions and information needed to cast their ballot this October.
If you registered to vote, updated your information or were already on the voters’ list before Sept. 15, 2026, you will receive a VIL by mail on or before Oct. 7, 2026.
Eligible voters who registered to vote after Sept. 15, 2026, will receive a VIL by email.
Voter information letters include everything you need to vote in this October’s municipal election, including:
- Your ward and school support designation
- Voting dates and locations
- A personalized PIN and instructions for online voting
If you vote in person, please bring your VIL and a piece of ID with you to your chosen voting location. If you do not have a voter information letter, you can still vote. Visit any advanced or Election Day voting location during operating hours with a piece of ID, including proof of residency, such as an Ontario driver’s licence or Ontario photo card.
If you are on the voters’ list and do not receive a VIL in the mail or by email by Oct. 10, or if you receive a VIL with incorrect information, please call the City of Quinte West’s election helpline at 1-343-303-0831, or email election@quintewest.ca.
