Local Ontario Health Team hosting an event to help residents find a doctor

Looking for a primary health-care provider, but don’t know where to start?

Everyone in need of a doctor or nurse practitioner has to register on the main Ontario Connect hub.. and it can be overwhelming.

Staff with the Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team will be helping people at a special event. The team will be set up at the Belleville Farmer’s Market on Saturday, October 17th from 8 a.m., to 2 p.m.

Staff will help residents sign up directly on the centralized registry.

“Belleville has several new doctors now taking residents as patients in our community. The quickest way to be connected to one of these doctors is to register with Health Care Connect, which the HPEOHT will be demonstrating on Oct. 17,” said said Karen Poste, Manager of Physician Recruitment and Retention, in a statement released by the City.
