Loyalist College Athletics has announced its Female and Male athletes of the year. For the first time in Lancer history, the annual Athletics Banquet had to be cancelled. Instead, over the past eight days the various athletic awards were presented online, culminating with last night’s announcement of the Female & Male athletes of the year.
Top female athlete honours go to Brittany Mason of the Lancers Women’s Basketball team. She was the Team’s MVP, was Top 10 in rebounds in the OCAA and led her team in scoring and rebounds. She was also an OCAA All-star. Brittany maintained a very impressive 85% academic average as a nursing student.
This year’s Male athlete of the year is Josh Roberts of Loyalist Men’s Volleyball. He was also an OCAA All-Star, was the team’s MVP and sat in the Top 5 of all-time leading scorers in Lancers Volleyball history. He carries a 94% GPA academically.
