Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health has some good news to share with the region.
Staff are reporting no new COVID-19 cases today, and 11 more recoveries. There has though been one more variant of concern case added to the overall totals.
That brings KFLA to a total of 27 active COVID-19 cases.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has announced four new COVID-19 cases today, and 11 more recoveries.
There are now 36 active COVID-19 cases between the two counties.
Local health officials note that 10 people are being treated in hospital with four in ICU and three on ventilators.
Outbreaks have gone down to two at the moment.
- Belleville General Hospital – Quinte 5 – Declared April 27 – 29 active COVID-19 cases.
- Workplace outbreak in Belleville – Declared May 21 – 1 active case.
The community outbreak declared in North Hastings has been declared officially over today. Eight cases were identified since the outbreak was declared on May 11th.
A total of 86,760 vaccine doses have been administered locally.
- 46 per cent of residents have their first dose (77,999)
- Four per cent of residents have been fully vaccinated (6,761)
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting one new COVID-19 case in Northumberland County. There are now a total of 34 active COVID-19 cases in that county.
