Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan will continue to serve as the President and CEO of Loyalist College.
Vaughan has been unanimously reappointed by the Loyalist College Board of Governors to serve another five-year term.
“President Vaughan has shown exemplary leadership skills while stewarding the College and its surrounding communities through the COVID-19 pandemic – in addition to the regular College operations she is responsible for overseeing. President Vaughan’s entrepreneurial spirit and forward-thinking approach to leadership is what sets Loyalist College apart and has us exceeding expectations as a small, rural College. The Board of Governors is thrilled that President Vaughan has agreed to serve another term as President and CEO of Loyalist College and we look forward to what she will accomplish over the next five years,” said Pam Jolliffe, Chair of the Loyalist College Board of Governors.
Vaughan added in the statement that it is a privilege and honour to continue to be in the role.
“These last 20 months have been an exceptionally challenging time for everyone, but it has also shown us that there is no challenge that is insurmountable. It has been remarkable to see how so many of the College’s students, employees, and alumni stepped up to carry the health and safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. When I arrived in Belleville five years ago, it was immediately obvious how integral Loyalist College is to the community. I can now see that that is because our core value of being a caring institution is just part of our DNA. So, I am truly delighted to have the opportunity to continue working with this exceptional team of faculty and staff who are singularly focused on ensuring our students succeed in their academic programs and achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally. While the world may look a little different now than it did a couple years ago, we now have a collective opportunity to reimagine how education can play a role in making our world more inclusive and equitable for everyone,” said Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan.
