Loyalist College has provided an update to students and staff as the province starts to loosen COVID-19 restrictions on Monday.
The College will be lifting some restrictions as well as of next week. The gym, dining hall, and fitness centre are scheduled to be back open for for students and staff.
Loyalist College President & CEO Dr. Ann Marie Vaughan noted in a statement to the College community today, that the College will return to in-person learning and more on-campus services. The changes will be in line with what the province will be moving towards.
She said that more opportunities for on-campus learning will start in programs as soon as February 22. Vaughan noted that the campus will then be moving to in-person learning as of March 7.
E-mails will be sent to students about their specific program. Those who started off the semester with a program that is entirely remote, will finish off the semester that way.

The College will continue to operate with a full vaccination policy in place. Students and staff will be required to do self-screening using the PPA App. Face masks will continue to be mandatory. The College is now requiring people to wear at least a 3-ply surgical mask. Face shields will be mandatory for those in the Culinary, Health Sciences, and Esthetics programs.
Loyalist continues to run a voluntary rapid-antigen testing clinic.
