The Belleville community will be coming together tonight to support the Kort family.
Local lawyer Pieter Kort and his family were involved in a fatal collision down in the United States last month.
Kort’s two daughters, Maddy and Joni died.
A celebration of life procession will take place at Zwick’s Park tonight starting at 7 p.m. The process will start on the east side by the dog park.
The road linking the east and west side of the park is closed this afternoon as City staff prepare. A private funeral will be held tomorrow.
Several fundraisers have been held to support the family, including one last weekend by the Bulldog Boxing Academy. Just under $500,000 has been raised through a GoFund Me page.
