Quinte Economic Development Commission receives over $1M from the Ontario government

Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith continues to make a number of funding announcements heading toward the election.

Smith announced this afternoon that $1.3 million will be going to the Quinte Economic Development Commission.

The QEDC will reportedly continue to collaborate with the Loyalist College Training and Knowledge Centre along with the Quinte Manufacturers Association.

The money is coming from Ontario’s Skills Development Fund for its Future Factory Skills Initiative. The funds will be used to help 40 workers train through the Elevate Plus program. The money will also help fund 760 people looking to upgrade their skills in the manufacturing field.
