Popular shortcut from Belleville to Picton is closed due to bridge work

A popular shortcut for drivers in Prince Edward County isn’t available for a little bit.

Crews have started working on the bridge on County Road 4. The road is just off of Highway 62. The bridge goes over the Consecon River.

The bridge is expected to be closed until the end of September.

Drivers and pedestrians who need to get around can use Jericho Road and Doxsee Road.
