With such a beautiful weekend ahead of us, how do some delicious ribs sound? If that sounds good, you’re in luck!
Quinte Ribfest is in Belleville this weekend in West Zwicks Park. Hosted by Big Brothers, Big Sisters and YMCA. it takes place Friday 4-10, Saturday 12-10, and Sunday 12-6. It’s just 2$ to get in or 5$ for a family of five!
It may be a good idea to bring plenty of cash ahead of time too, since this is a cash only event! There is an ATM on site, but it’s always better to be prepared.
There will also be no outside food or drinks allowed in. All containers will be emptied at the door.
Some of the rib vendors there will be CAMP 31, Fatboys BBQ, Pistol Pete’s Oklahoma Smokehouse, and Billy Bones BBQ.
If you want something sweet or something to wash down the ribs with, then there is also sweet things mini donuts & funnel cakes as well as Alabama Lemonade.
There will be sauce tasting and a people’s choice voting zone to help decide on the best flavor!
Also, what is an event like this without some entertainment? On Friday, Ambush will take the stage from 5-6:30 and 8-10. On Saturday, Bentwood Rocker will be on from 8-10, and Sunday, Chelsea Road will be on from 1-4.
There will also be a Kidz Zone Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4pm. They will have YMCA kidz activities as well as Dedeye Axe Throwing.
For those with BIG appetites, there will also be a Team Rib eating contest on Sunday at 2 pm. There is a form here that you can fill out and it must be completed to enter! The fee is 120$ to enter a team.
Robert will also be there under the 91x tent, be sure to come by, say hi and sign a ballot for a chance to win a free bike from Doug’s Bicycles!
