Here’s this weeks Indie 5 at 5!
#5 – Rare Americans – Moving On
- Brothers James and Jared Priestner fro Vancouver started the band as kind of a joke. Since their debut in 2018, their songs have had millions of streams. This is the first week for them on the countdown.
#4 – Giant Rooks – Morning Blue
- The German band is down two spots this week on the countdown. This is their first single of the year. The band will be performing in Toronto on December 2.
#3 – 408 with Taylor Acorn – Backfired
- The Florida band continues to be inspired by Blink 182. This song has moved up one spot this week.
#2 – Aysanabee – Nomads
- The Toronto-based Oji-Cree artist debut on the countdown last week at #5. Aysanabee was the first artist who signed with the new Indigenous-owned Ishkode Records.
#1 – Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Burning
- This song continues to dominate the Indie 5 @ 5 countdown this month. It was #1 last week! Yeah Yeah Yeahs will release their first album in nine years on Friday, September 30.
