Loyalist College and Belleville Transit continue to support new students as the Winter Semester kicks off this week.
The College has announced in a statement, that Student Transit Ambassadors will be at the downtown bus terminal. The Student Transit Ambassadors will help new and returning students navigate the local bus network. The pilot project was bought forward after community and student feedback.
The City of Belleville continues to have an online survey up about Belleville Transit and where it should go in the future. The survey is open until January 23.
Loyalist College students who rely on the bus to get to class, will also see another bus during peak hours. Student Government has arranged to have a second bus shadowing behind the #7 bus to and from Loyalist College. The second bus will be tagging along weekdays from 7 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is in response to the demand that was seen last semester.
