Belleville has several events happening on March 8th, which is International Women’s Day.
- Three Oaks Foundation is inviting everyone to join them at the Parkdale Community Centre. The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be live music and mini makeovers. Visitors can also participate in an art project using symbols that represent women.
- The Loyola School of Adult and Continuing Education will be hosting an event at their office at 250 Sidney Street. The meeting at 11:30 a.m. will feature four speakers.
- The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Hastings and Prince Edward will be hosting a dinner at The Grand. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Michele Leering will be sharing her journey in the business world. Karen Poste will be speaking about her experience as the City of Belleville’s Manager of Economic Development. Ticket sales close today.
- Belleville Public Library will be hosting a discussion with Canadian handywoman Tammy Watson. Register for the 6 p.m. meeting on the library website. This event is free.
