Belleville Police have issued another call to the community as they continue to investigate an attempted child abduction.
Police say that last Tuesday on May 16th, a 12-year-old girl was walking home when a man pulled up and kept asking her to get into his vehicle.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m., in the area of Jackson Avenue and May Street.
The man attempted to get the girl in his vehicle, until a couple walking by intervened and told the man to leave the girl alone.
Belleville Police say in an update this morning, that they are looking to talk to the couple and/or anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or can help identify the man.
The suspect is described as being in his 30s. He had an accent and police say he could be South Asian descent. He was driving a white sedan with dark rims.
