Santa and Mrs. Claus will be heading to Belleville sooner than you think!
They will be in downtown Belleville on Saturday, August 5th for a Festival of Lights fundraiser.
The City of Belleville’s Lighting Display Committee is hosting the event. Visitors at Market Square will find live music, face painting, holiday-themed activities, and 10 a.m. to noon. Kids will be able to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and write them a letter ahead of the big day in December.
All the donations raised will support the annual holiday display. The team is looking to refurbish some pieces and add some new ones.
“This year, we wanted to try something a little different to get people excited about the upcoming Festival of Lights season. We want this year’s event to be the best it can and hope everyone will stop by for some festive fun as we kick off our annual fundraising campaign,” said Councillor Garnet Thompson, Chair of the Lighting Display Committee.
