The cooling centre is open in Quinte West, as the hot and humid weather appears to be sticking around.
Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud today with a chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm. The temperature will climb to a high of 29 degrees Celsius, but feeling like 37 degrees Celsius with the humidity.

The City of Quinte West has announced that the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena in Trenton is open as a cooling centre. Residents can take a seat and cool off today through until Friday. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The City opens the cooling centre when we have two straight days of temperatures 31 degrees Celsius, or when the humidex value is at 35 degrees Celsius and over.
Splash pads are open every day in Trenton and Frankford from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
