A Greener Future is enlisting the community’s help in a nurdle hunt in Riverside Park.
Nurdles are small plastic pellets that are used in the manufacturing industry. Due to their small size and weight, they can become lost in the environment.
They harm aquatic life as they can be mistaken for food and contaminate our drinking water with microplastic pieces.
As nurdles are difficult to sift out of the environment, it’s easiest if people volunteer to help.
Enjoy Riverside Park as you and whomever you wish to bring clean up the beach and search for nurdles.
All the necessary equipment for the hunt is provided. All you need to do is wear comfortable clothes and bring your enthusiasm!
The hunt is Friday, October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. Learn more online.
