Bill Welychka from Global Kingston joined us this week to talk about his debut memoir, “Bill Welychka: A Happy Has-Been: Exciting Times and Lessons Learned by One of Canada’s Foremost Entertainment Journalists.”
He will be signing books at Chapters in Belleville this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Before his stint with Global, Welychka was a longtime VJ on MuchMusic. Interest in Canada’s version of MTV has been back in the forefront with the new documentary, “299 Queen Street West.” The project will appear on CRAVE TV next month.
We chatted with Welychka about going down memory lane and the Kingston music scene.
