This week, radio host Sam Shipman sat down with Morgan Scott, Special Events Coordinator for the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce, to talk about what’s happening with the Trenton Santa Claus Parade this weekend.
Morgan has been coordinating the Trenton Santa Claus Parade for 6 years now, with this parade being a little different. This parade is dedicated to longtime volunteer Bryan Swartman. Bryan has retired from the parade after being the Parade Marshall for close to 40 years. “The Santa Claus Parade does not happen without the dedicated volunteers behind the scenes,” said Suzanne Andrews, CEO at the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce. “Bryan has been leading the efforts of the volunteer fire fighters and other volunteers for so many years and his efforts are truly appreciated, we are pleased to be able to honour his impact this way.”
The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Claus Parade Committee have been working hard to make sure the community has a great parade this year. The parade is financially supported by the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce and the City of Quinte West, as well as many corporate sponsors, though corporate donations are still being accepted to help finance the cost of the parade.
