The following press release has been issued today by Belleville Police.
Suspicious vehicle sought in Thurlow:
A homeowner in Thurlow challenged the occupants of a vehicle acting suspiciously in his neighborhood, Wednesday, and police are looking for public’s help in identifying the suspects.
Around 2 p.m. a charcoal grey Toyota Tacoma TRD with a hard bed cover cap was observed in the area of Homan and Harmony Roads with a couple of occupants. The people inside the vehicle, believed to be males, appeared to be looking at residences with large binoculars and recording images on cell phones.
When spoken to by a resident of Homan Road, the males claimed they were ‘birdwatching’ and sped off towards Harmony Road.
Belleville police are investigating the incident and asking anyone with information, images or a license plate of the suspected vehicle to contact Const. Ryan Baker at 613- 966-0882 ext. 4229 or rbaker@bellevilleps.ca.

-Belleville Police have announced that they have spoken to the men involved, who were birdwatching. No further action will be taken.
Looking to ID:
Belleville police are looking to identify a male who broke into and rummaged through a vehicle in the city’s west end earlier this week. Around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, a male was caught on a driveway camera breaking into a vehicle parked on Hillside Street. The male stole cash, cheque books and electronics.
