The Quinte region has gone from a green Christmas to two winter storms in one week.
A Colorado low is coming over to greet southern Ontario late this afternoon and overnight.
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Travel Advisory today for our entire area, including Stirling, Madoc, Tweed, Bancroft and Kaladar. The Madoc and Tweed area could see between 10 to 20 cm of snow overnight. Bancroft could experience between 15 to 30 cm of snow.
Here in Belleville, Quinte West, and Prince Edward County, Environment Canada is calling for 5 to 10 cm of snow. The temperature will be at -2 Celsius overnight, and rise above freezing by morning.
The snowfall rate overnight in the region could be about 2 to 5 cm per hour, with strong winds causing poor visibility.
Saturday, periods of rain changing over to snow. Environment Canada is calling for 2 cm of snow towards the afternoon. High of 2 Celsius with the temperature falling to -1 Celsius in the afternoon.
Sunday, cloudy with a chance of flurries. High of -7 Celsius.
