Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has released their weekly COVID-19 report today.
Staff say they have identified 16 new high-risk infection in the last week. There are a total of 16 active high-risk infections as of today.
While no deaths have been reported, Quinte Health is experiencing a slight increase in the number of local residents being treated for the virus. Quinte Health is averaging 13 patients in care. ICU numbers have not yet been updated.
A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Belleville General Hospital’s BSTU area. The outbreak was first declared on Friday. It is one of two current active outbreaks in high-risk settings. The other is still impacting Westgate Lodge in Belleville. The long-term care home has been in an outbreak situation since last Monday.
