After a strange couple of weeks with spring-like conditions, the Quinte region is bracing for another round of winter.
Tri-Board Transportation has cancelled school buses in Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County, North and Central Hastings, in preparation for snow this afternoon. Buses are running in Napanee and in Kingston.
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for Quinte, as we could see heavy blowing snow starting this afternoon. We could be shoveling between 5 to 10 cm of snow in Belleville by the end of the day. High of -2 Celsius. The snow is expected to tapper off overnight with a low of -5 Celsius. We could see a few more flurries tomorrow morning before the system moves on.
Loyalist College in Belleville remains open. Students are encouraged to keep an eye on their Loyalist e-mail accounts in case there are any changes.
