United Way Hastings and Prince Edward has revealed how much money they were able to raise as apart of their 2023 fundraising campaign.
The team revealed the final total at the Empire Theatre in Belleville last night.
The local United Way hit pass their goal of $2,200,000 million. The final total landed at $2,220,422.
“It has been a privilege and pleasure to watch this year’s campaign unfold and ultimately exceed the already significant goal set back in September. The people of Hastings and Prince Edward continue to show up in remarkable ways – through payroll donations, volunteering, spreading the word about United Way and the impact each dollar can have. I am very proud of the team, and our community,” said Dan McCullough, in a statement. He works at Magna Autosystems and was the 2023 Campaign Cabinet Chair.
United Way Hastings and Prince Edward has announced that they received several more funding requests than they expected. Exceeding the total amount of money they have to give by $1 million. Successful applicants will receive news about funding over the next two weeks.
