The local public school board here in Quinte region is launching a virtual workshop next month.
Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has a new campaign this year, aimed at addressing the power of words.
The words matter campaign is encouraging parents and caregivers to learn about the impact language can have on children when it comes to instilling harm, bias and discrimination.
A Words Matter Parent and Caregiver workshop will take place on November 18th.
The virtual workshop runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Access to the virtual workshop will be provided by each school.
