The City of Belleville will be offering free parking in the downtown core next year.
Council signed off on the idea during a meeting earlier this month. An exact date when the program starts has not been given.
However, when it does start, drivers can take advantage of two-hour free parking in municipal lots. One-hour free parking along the main roads in the downtown core will continue to be in place.
