Belleville Senators Head Coach David Bell is closing out the year looking for a new opportunity.
The Ottawa Senators have announced this morning, that they have parted ways with their AHL coach. Bell was with the club for four seasons. Andrew Campbell, the assistant coach with the local club has been selected to serve as the interim head coach.
“We are constantly evaluating ways to improve our organization and felt the timing was right for a fresh voice and approach in Belleville. We thank David for his time and commitment in Belleville and the Bay of Quinte and wish him well in his next opportunity,” said Ottawa Senators general manager Steve Staios, in a statement.
The Belleville Senators have had an up and down season and are currently on a three-game loosing skid. They head into a road game against the Rochester Americans on Friday, sitting fifth in the AHL’s North Division with an 11-14-3 record.
