Central Hastings OPP have released a statement this morning, in response to the collision in Madoc yesterday involving an ambulance.
Police say that the two-vehicle collision, involving a transport truck and ambulance, took place just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 62.
The OPP have confirmed that a total of four people were involved.
Two paramedics were transported to hospital.
One was airlifted by ORNGE to a trauma centre, due to life-threatening injuries. While the other paramedic was treated for undetermined injuries.
The two occupants in the transport truck were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

CUPE 1842, the union for local paramedics, is encouraging the community to not speculate about the details of the collision, adding in a statement that the incident is a deeply traumatic moment for the entire service.
