Here is the VIQ Update for this week:
*Scouts Canada 1st Bay of Quinte Group is looking for volunteer Cub Scouters in Belleville. Scouters help run hands-on programming for youth aged 5-17 to support activities, act as a mentor, ensure a safe and inclusive environment, and expand your skills and knowledge as a scouter. 2-3 hours per week are generally required.
*The Community Development Council of Quinte is looking for Good Food Box Depot Assistants at their Frankford Depot location. Duties include collecting cash, submitting orders received online, setting up the depot, and assisting with unloading good food bags. This volunteer position requires a monthly commitment on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Christian Reformed Church in Frankford.
*Brain Injury Association of Quinte District is seeking volunteers to provide peer support over the phone/email to a partner who is facing similar Acquire Brain Injury challenges that you have. Volunteers must be 16 years or older and have sustained a brain injury or have a family member/partner who has survived a brain injury.
*Catherine’s Kitchen is seeking volunteers to assist in food preparation, serving, and cleanup from 8:45 am to 1:30 pm on weekdays, Monday through Thursday. Scheduling is flexible.
*Community Living Prince Edward is seeking program assistants to socialize, share interests and hobbies, play games, and more with clients. Scheduling is flexible, ideally ongoing in regular intervals.
*The Richmond Retirement Resident is looking for volunteers to help run a craft program several times a month. Volunteers have complete creative freedom and will work with the Recreation Manager to bring your visions to life. Scheduling is flexible.
*Community Care for Central Hastings is looking for volunteer drivers in the Madoc, Marmora, Stirling, and Tweed areas to provide local and distance transportation for clients. Volunteers must own their own vehicles, but mileage is reimbursed.
*Highland Shores Children’s Aid is seeking volunteer drivers to support drives in the Belleville area and beyond. Volunteers provide safe transportation of children and adults served by the agency, Mondays through Fridays. Scheduling is flexible based on volunteer availability, and milage is reimbursed monthly.
*Mission Thrift Store in Belleville is looking for volunteer merchandisers/sorters. Shifts are available on weekdays and weekends depending on volunteer availability. Duties include sorting, hanging, and lifting donations.
*The Humane Society of Hastings Prince Edward is seeking animal-foster families to provide a quiet home to animals that may be recovering from mental trauma or injuries. An application is required.
