Quinte West Firefighters have handed over an investigation to the OPP.
Local fire crews were called to a house fire on Saturday at around 2 a.m. The property on Hamilton Road, near the intersection of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road was also the home of a former business.
The home was vacant at the time of the fire. Quinte West fire officials have said that the fire was so hot, that they were not able to come up with a definitive cause for the fire.
The investigation has been handed over to the OPP, as the damage is estimated at over $700,000 with the home destroyed.
