Two-vehicle collision near the Port Hope OnRoute leads to life-threatening injuries for one driver

Northumberland County OPP are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding a serious collision on Highway 401 Eastbound.

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision on Saturday at 11 a.m., near the service centre in Port Hope.

The OPP believe at this time, that one of the vehicles was parked on the shoulder of the road and the driver had exited. During the incident, the parked vehicle was hit by another vehicle. The driver from the first vehicle was hit, and transported to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
