Belleville Fire and Emergency Services have provided an update after a house fire in the east-end on Monday.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at 4:40 p.m., in the 100 block of Summit Crescent. Damage was caused to an outside wall of the single detached home and attic/roof area. However, the fire did melt off some siding on the neighbouring home.
There were no injuries. Everyone was able to escape the home safely.
Firefighters have announced that the damage is estimated at $297,000.
The team is also reminding everyone to call 9-1-1 if they witness an emergency, to help better assist in response times and limit the fire spread.
