The Bay of Quinte Pride team has shifted their Belleville-centered focus for June to a regional effort.
The team plans to hold Pride events every year going forward, in different communities across the entire region.
The Bay of Quinte Pride events will be focused on Picton this year.
This Saturday, the Pride parade will be held in downtown Belleville from noon to 1 p.m. The parade will run from Millennium Trail parking lot to the Crystal Palace. Picton Main Street on Saturday will be closed from Lake Street to the Crystal Palace, to make room for the parade. The closure will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
At the Crystal Palace after the parade, there will be free activities in the park until 5 p.m.
The entertainment this year will be a ticketed event at Base 31 in Picton on Saturday night.
