A similar program at Loyalist College that provides scholarship to students, is being created with two other post-secondary institutions.
This week, Hastings County Council heard from staff bout a new scholarship program with St. Lawrence College in Kingston and Fleming College in Peterborough.
Hastings County Council signed off on giving each of the two colleges just over $68,0000. The money will go towards creating a scholarship program, that will help students pursue a career in early childhood education, a sector that is in need of more people.
