Prince Edward County issues Labour Day weekend service reminders

Offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 at 8:30 am.

Garbage and recycling collection

• Curbside garbage, green bin, and recycling pickup service will occur according to the regular schedule.
• Environmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup.
• If your garbage collection is missed, call 613.476.2148 extension 1023. Visit https://e360s.ca/service-updates/ for information on delays or changes in collection schedules.
• Garbage bags must be tightly sealed and weigh no more than 40lbs when filled. All bags must have a visible tag and the full tag must be visible (rolled tags are not acceptable). To review the Waste Management By-law, please click here.
• The municipality’s landfill and transfer stations will be open regular hours on Saturday, September 5. Visit the County website for more information.

Recreation Facilities
The Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street) and the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) will be closed on Monday, September 7.

Free public skating will be available at the Wellington and District Community Centre on Sunday, September 6 from 8 am to 9 am. View the full schedule.

Both community centres and the walking track at the WDCC will return to the regular schedule on Tuesday, September 8.

The County Museums
The County Museums will be closed on Monday, September 7.

Fall hours are as follows:

• Ameliasburgh Heritage Village (517 County Road 19, Ameliasburgh) – Wednesday to Sunday, 1 pm – 4 pm
• Mariners Park Museum (2065 County Road 13, South Bay) – Closed for the season
• Macaulay Heritage Park (23 & 35 Church Street, Picton) – Wednesday to Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm
• Rose House Museum (3333 County Road 8, Waupoos) – Closed for the season
• Wellington Heritage Museum (290 Main Street, Wellington) – Wednesday to Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm

Marina
Marina services remain open during the holiday including fuel, pump outs, docking, and ice.

County Transit
County Transit will not operate on Monday, September 7.
